Klara One is currently in the product development phase. WalkingPlus UG is preparing the European conformity assessment procedure under MDR (EU) 2017/745; CE marking is targeted as our first regulatory milestone. WalkingPlus UG intends to make Klara One available internationally and is preparing the regulatory pathways for the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and additional priority markets following CE marking.

The present website is currently a corporate communication platform. Klara One is not yet placed on the market and is not yet available for purchase or professional or healthcare use. Pre-orders or reservations are not currently offered. Product availability may vary by jurisdiction and regulatory status.

2. Klara One — Development & Regulatory Status

Klara One is a mobility support system currently in the product development phase.

2.1 No medical claims

Information on this website about Klara One is provided for general transparency about a product in development. It does not constitute medical, physiotherapeutic, rehabilitation, diagnostic, preventive, or therapeutic advice in any jurisdiction.

Klara One is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

The contents of this website have not been reviewed or validated by any health authority.

2.2 Regulatory classification

The regulatory classification of Klara One is currently under assessment. The final classification will be determined as part of the conformity assessment process in accordance with the rules of Annex VIII of MDR (EU) 2017/745.

2.3 Patent notice

Klara One technology is the subject of the following patent applications: (i) Italian patent application IT 102025000009135, filed on 23 April 2025 with the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM); (ii) European patent application EP26172956.0, filed on 17 April 2026 with the European Patent Office (EPO). Both applications are classified under IPC A61H 3/00. The patent application is registered in the name of Maria Salzano. Commercialization and economic exploitation are carried out by WalkingPlus UG. Any unauthorized reproduction, adaptation or exploitation is prohibited.

2.4 Market placement restriction

Klara One has not yet completed the CE conformity assessment process as a finalized medical device and therefore may not currently be placed on the market or advertised as such, where prohibited by applicable law.

The completion of the regulatory path (CE marking, ISO 13485 Quality Management System certification, clinical validation) proceeds progressively in line with the securing of the necessary financial resources. WalkingPlus UG is currently engaged in fundraising activities through public funding, private investors and sponsorship.

2.5 Testing and development phase

Any product testing takes place exclusively within controlled internal development and evaluation phases.

This Privacy Policy explains how WalkingPlus UG collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal data through the website www.walkingplus.net.

We do not knowingly process: government IDs, financial account data, biometric data, precise geolocation, health data, sexual-orientation data, or data of children below the applicable age thresholds under local law, without verifiable parental consent.

In the event of a personal data breach, WalkingPlus UG notifies the competent supervisory authority (TLfDI) within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach pursuant to Art. 33 GDPR. Where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to the rights and freedoms of data subjects, WalkingPlus UG also notifies the affected data subjects without undue delay pursuant to Art. 34 GDPR.

This section applies to data subjects in the United Kingdom and supplements section 3. Processing is governed by the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

7. Privacy Notice — United States 🇺🇸

Note for U.S. visitors: Klara One is currently in development and has not been reviewed or authorised by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Entry into the U.S. market is planned following completion of the European CE marking process. This Privacy Notice applies to U.S. residents who visit our website for general informational purposes.

7.1.2 Sale, sharing, retention

WalkingPlus UG does not sell personal information and does not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined in the CPRA. Retention periods are set out in section 4.4 above.

7.1.3 Your California rights

To exercise these rights: email privacy@walkingplus.net with subject line "California Privacy Request". We respond within 45 days, extendable by 45 additional days where reasonably necessary.

"Shine the Light" (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83): California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for those parties' direct marketing. We do not make such disclosures.

7.1.4 Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We honour browser-based opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC).

7.2 Other U.S. state privacy laws

"WalkingPlus" and "Klara One" are used by WalkingPlus UG in commercial business. Trademark registrations (both Italian and European EUIPO) are planned for the future and not currently filed. The initiation of the registration procedure is subject to the availability of adequate financial resources, currently being raised through self-financing, public funding instruments (e.g., Innovationsgutschein InnoSecure Thüringen), private investments and sponsorship.

16.1 Governing law

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising in connection with them are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer protection law of a consumer's country of habitual residence remains unaffected.
